The tear has exposed the plywood that is under the fiberglass. All the original material is still there, but how is the best repair achieved?

most of the RV repair shops will re-adhere the tear back down to the substrate and then will apply the two sided butyl tape over the edges of the seam before applying the liquid epdm rubber
