I have a 1500 sq foot concrete deck over our garage with embedded hydronic snowmelt (almost never used). There is a stubborn leak in one area. We've tried a concrete sealer/paint but it was too thin and brittle and did not adhere in some places but I don't think that is the problem but since I don't know the actual problem, who knows. The deck has bituthene flamed down membrane underneath the concrete but the leak is in an area that didn't have the bituthene (removed barbecue).

My belief is that if I completely seal from the house out to the drip edge with this product, instead of counting on the membrane under the concrete, the waterproofing will be above the concrete and will form an impenetrable barrier.

So, the questions are. (a) Will this approach work (b) Can this material be used for a light duty walkable deck (residential). (c) There is one area with 1/2" pooled water in the winter/spring. (d) This is Lake Tahoe at 6500 feet so a fair amount of snow, temps between 5 and 95 degrees. (e) Is the surface slippery when wet? (f) Can it be colored tan. (g) Is it unattractive? (h) Can it be covered with pavers after a year or two of testing its water resistance?

Which best on EPDM RV roof? Warranty matters. Be first experience on coating 31' travel trailer.

We have an epdm roof with a metal scupper. We had to to use Dicor Lap Sealant at the seam where the epdm meets scupper. Can we use Butyl MS Caulk over the existing Dicor Lap Sealant? The goal is to cover the Dicor Lap Sealant with the Butyl MS Caulk at the seam first, then eventually use the Liquid Butyl over it for a seamless finish and seal it in completely.

We have an full EPDM flat roof where the rain drains to metal scuppers. Due to the construction style, there’s always a little bit of water sitting at the base of the scupper entry area (about 3/8”)” of pooling. Over the years, many sealants have been tried and failed at the scupper seam where it meets the EPDM. Most recently we used Henry 209XR last fall but it does not work well ( we see some lift already) and to make matters worst, a representative from Henry stated that their product will damage EPDM rubber over time on a Q&A on the Home Depot website this month (contrary to their TDS which we referred to before proceeding to use it). I purchased a gallon of Liquid Butyl hoping to resolve this issue once and for all. Do you know of any issues applying this over Henry 209XR? I’m not sure if we can 100% scrape that stuff off the areas we applied. I read that the Liquid Butyl will adhere to metal without the primer so we didn’t order any with our Liquid Butyl.
