Can I use roof epdm on shower base?

I have an indoor shower and the base has been cracking for some time.  I want to coat it with either the regular epdm or rv roof version.  It is a surround and the base has textured bumps about 1/4 tall across the surface.  I believe it is acrylic but am not sure.  Any suggestions?    Bob
