Product Description
Superior Coat is a high solids, technologically advanced, fire retardant, thixotropic, 100% acrylic elastomer uniquely formulated for the protection of spray polyurethane foam, metal, and a wide variety of other substrates. The proprietary formulation incorporates premium elastomeric acrylic resins, reinforcing laminar pigments and non-migrating fire retardants to produce a seamless, flexible, durable membrane having exceptional weatherability, ultraviolet and fire resistance. Superior Coat acts as a “breathing” membrane allowing trapped moisture vapor to pass through the film while remaining impervious to exterior mass water penetration. The resultant tough, cured film provides good resistance to mechanical damage and chemical attack.ck.
Recommended Uses
Superior Coat is the ideal choice for metal roofs, BUR and single ply restoration. This product is ideal for use over spray polyurethane foam and metal decks. Superior Coat has passed ASTM D6083, is Miami-Dade and Florida Building code approved, Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and Energy Star rated and CA Title 24 Approved. The thixotropic nature of Superior Coat permits high build coverage, even on rough, textured or vertical surfaces without pinholing or sagging. It also has excellent adhesion to a variety of other substrates, such as asphalt, primed wood, primed metal, concrete and masonry. Ponding water conditions are to be avoided. Superior Coat is a water based high volume solid acrylic coating which will freeze and become unusable at temperatures below 32°. PROTECT FROM FREEZING DURING STORAGE. Do not store material at temperatures below 45° F. Do not apply Supreme Coat at temperatures below 50° F or if there is a chance of temperatures falling below 32° F within a 24-hour period. Do not apply Superior Coat over wet substrates or when inclement weather is imminent. Avoid contamination in sealed containers. Store away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not inhale vapor or mist; do not get on skin, in eyes or on clothing. Refer to SDS for more information. Contact our Technical Service Personnel for project specific recommendations
